Definitive way to tell burnt from pressed media?

In most cases, it’s pretty obvious, but I have a few CDs where I’m honestly not sure if it’s a pressed disc or a burnt disc (a couple are those CDs that have the entirely black bottoms so you can’t see the normal barcodes around the inner radius of discs). Are there any definitive ways to tell, or possibly some program that can scan the disc and tell? I figure since the nature of burnt and pressed discs is fairly different, that some kind of detection is possible from the way the laser refracts or the depths of the pits or something.

Thanks for your help.

In CDSpeed, you can look at the disc information and see if it’s a cd-r, cd-rw or cd-rom.
