After burning a CD-R with WinOnCD 3.7 under Windows 98, it spent about 10 minutes on the lead-out before crashing. The drive LED kept blinking orange until I reset the system.
Now the LED starts flashing green soon after startup. It flashes 9 times before pausing and then repeats. If I put a disc
in the drive the LED stays on conitnuously for a few seconds before resuming flashing. It won't read anything any more.
The disc that I was writing when the problem occurred reads fine in another drive.
I have checked for loose cables and any BIOS or Windows problems. Nothing there.
Any idea what's wrong?
