This is not historic event (at least it would not be in the US). Korn did the same thing last year when thier “Untouchables” album came out. They played a show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, and beamed the concert to several movie theaters in other cities. Most of the tickets were given away by radio stations.

I am listening to his new CD right now and it is decent. I think his last CD was better. David Bowie is one of the few artists that recognizes that the CD format and the whole structure of the music industry will change drastically in the next few years. He is pretty smart for a musician and I think his music kicks ass.

I think you will find that a lot of the old musos have the business acumen and street smarts well enough to know where their path lies…the drug fucked guitar twanging twits who have record company execs hands up their arse pulling the strings and to whom technology means the invention of a non dependant smack will be the losers…
