Damaged dvd

I have a dvd that will play in my standalone, but not in DVD-ROMs. There appears to be a CRC error in one of the bonus features. I don’t care about bonus features anyways. I have copied these files from the disc:

video_ts.*
vts_01*

The actual movie is on vts_01_1 - vts_01_4.vob.

Is there an easy way in Nero (6.3) to use these files and make a working DVD? I’d like original chapters, if possible, but not necessary. I tried the “Make DVD” function of Vision Express, which looked promising, but it keeps crapping out in the middle of the transcoding process.

Any insight / links that may help? I’d use other software, if it’ll suit me better.

You will have to use DVD Decrypter by the sound of things. Employ the .ISO function, then mount the image in a virtual drive like Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%. Then use NR2 to make a DVD from the virtual drive.

I’ll give it a shot tonight! I’ll let you know how it goes.

Had to wait to have some time to play with it. I used DVD Decrypter and had set it to ignore read errors (retries:0) and fast error skipping. It still took 7+ hours to read the disc! But it did create the iso. When Nero read the iso virtual drive, the areas that had bad sectors were in red. Luckily I didn’t need those areas and was able to “recode” the movie! Thanks for your help.
