Daemon Tools and .iso problem :(

  1. I put in a game play disk.
  2. I opened up WinImage.
  3. I clicked “Disk” then “Create CD-ROM ISO image…”.
  4. I mounted the ISO image to Daemon Tools.
  5. I tried to play the game and got the error, “Original disc could not be found or authenticated.”.

What do i need to do in order to make the ISO image work when mounted to Daemon Tools?

Great thanks to anyone who will help me.

Iso format probably isn’t appropriate for the type of copy protection used. What game is it and what copy protection is used? [Scan with A-Ray scanner or Protection ID to identify copy protection.]

It’s Starwars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, I don’t have a program to identify the copy right protection though.

A-Ray scanner, [Protection ID](http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_2.shtml#Protection ID) or Copy-Discovery 2000.

Protection ID states that “SecuROM - Version 5.03.13” is being used.

Then make your disc image with alcohol using securom 4.x/5.x datatype settings and then mount that image on your DT virtual drive.

Thank you so very much.

I mounted the .mds file to Daemon Tools and that didn’t work so I converted the .mdf file to a .iso file and mounted that and once again I get nothing. Is there something I may have done wrong?

yeh, leave it as mdf/mds…
iso can NOT contain the copy protection information…
also explain ‘didnt work’, did you get an error message?
