D2SRoBa Size problem

I have been experiencing a problem with sizing. I set it up for 4440 as the final size. 1% < and 0.5%> and Q=40. It did a couple of passes but my encoded movie only came out to 2.79GB. With the audio it equals 3.09GB. What is wrong here?

Would be helpfull if we knew what you were converting and to what  If its an AVI, post what GSOPT reports for Video & Audio

#3

Yea, its an avi. I already deleted it, so I can’t post the GSOPT report.

#4

O, I did another one and the video came out to be only 3.8Gb
I don’t know what you mean by GSOPT, but heres the D2SRoBa log:

gspot - it’ll show info about the avi

gotcha. I deleted that avi already, but if you could tell me what I should be looking for that would be great. Is it the resolution, the bit depth, etc?
It really ain’t that big of a deal if I know the reason for D2SRoBa undersizing my vids. If it is normal then so be it, but I was just wondering if it was a glitch.

#7

The reason for undersizing is

- 2005-02-08 08:28:45

 • Start movie OPV encoding (Q 1)
 • OPV pass result: 86.2% on target,

Its hit the lowest Q value it can encode at (ie 1), therefore the quality will be identical to the AVI. Any larger size of VOB files will gain you nothing (other than longer encoding and burning times  )
