I’ve been using these for a while now, and they seem to work as advertised. I use them to protect my games discs (PC and XBOX) and other discs that get swaped in and out a lot. I don’t use them for DVD video as I’m not constantly swapping the disc in and out as when switching between games. As for slot loding, I believe they state on the package that the D-Skin is not to be used with slot loding drives or multi-disc drives. I have not tried buring a disc with one installed. I will have to try this. If I remember right the D-Skin packaging doesn’t specify one way or the other. The only problem I have had is that some discs seem to take longer to load with a D-Skin on. For example, My Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory disc take a while to verify the disc when starting the game. If I take the D-Skin off it verifies pretty quickly. However, I’ll take the longer load time over accedently scratching the disc, as the load is only done once at the begining. Hope this helps.
