Curiosity about securom

I have a curiosity about securom: my dvdrom isn't able to read subchannel data from data tracks with Clonecd; if the copy protection is stored in the Qsubcode how is it possible that a copy made with Nero didn't work in this device?
Thanks for your replies.

I am not very sure about this,
but I THINK you can use Daemon Tools w/ SecuROM emu on, then use CCD/Nero to make a copy, maybe it will work, maybe it won’t, just try it

Is this a trick question?

I think he means: how does Securom work when you try a Securom protected program in a device which won’t read the subchannels… how can the protection check if the signature is there?

Exact Upper3rdog! I’m sorry if I haven’t been understood but I’m not English. My question is still valid.

Ahh, I gotta  you…
Well, this is an intresting question, like if the drive can’t read the subchannel, I think that the game will IDed as copy, but SecuROM won’t let that happen, right? Also besides the subchannels, I think they have put some other protection schemes into the CD too, I just only know one for their new version: ATIP Check…
Don’t know much…
maybe you can tell us
