CSS Problem

My friend and I have been using DVD Decrypter with good results untill my friend had a problem with a CSS/CPPM DVD. He lent me the movie and I also couldn’t rip it. When DVD Decrypter tries to read it I get an error message that reads: “ParseVTSM Runtime Exception File: VTS_09_0.IFO”. Has anyone had this problem? Cheers, and any help would be appreciated.

Thread moved to appropriate forum.

Whats the name of the movie, and region.
DvdDecrypter does not work with the newer protection found on many recent movies made in the last yeAR or so.

The movie is Casino Royale and the region is 1. Do you know of a newer program that might work?

My recollection is that Casino Royale had a lot of new protection on it.
Try either Ripit4me or Dvd Fab HD Decrypter. Both are free.

Fab can be gotten here:
You may find Fab easier than Ripit4me, which last I knew, Ri4m could be found at Majorgeeks:
Be sure to install Dvd Decrypter and Dvd Shrink before installing Ripit4me.

Also, you might want to do a search for Casino Royale on this forum. I seem to remember there were lots of posts for this movie. For example, heres a thread: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=212910&highlight=Casino+Royale

BTW, welcome to the forum!!!

Thanks alot for your help. My friend emailed me a little while ago with this link:
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=212910 I guess i should have searched the threads more thoroughly. I tried AnyDVD and it worked fine. It’s a trial version so i’ll likely try those others you mentioned. Cheers and thanks again!

Your welcome.
IMHO, there is no need to pruchase Anydvd when your trial version runs out, unless you are really into convenience and spending money. Last I knew AD and Clone Dvd costs something like $70, and even more. for HD.
The free versions I mentioned above are really great programs, and Fab is continually updated.

I for one think anydvd is worth the money. It is one of the few softwares that I have bought. Ripit4me is no longer being updated but will work all but some of the latest movies. Dvd Fab HD Decrypter I have never used it but I have been told it works great.

I understand that Anydvd works and has its following.
But, still too expensive for my budget, esp when there are such wonderful free alternatives out there.

I 2 had the same problem with 007 and the new rocky movie, but i was using dvd shrink much better then Decrypter u can also use image burn as well. The programs that will get around these movies are, one click dvd copy, clone dvd, dvdfabb gold and blind writer i my self own and use all of these programs and they do very well with the new CSS’s…good luck and cheers to ya

Just so you know, there are no new CSS protections. It has been broken years ago.

Hi guys,
There is no need to pruchase Anydvd, i know RioDVD is much better and cheaper($39.95), it could remove several protections from a DVD folder on the hard disk. It removes region code (RC), region code enhancement (RCE), analog copy protection, and user operation prohibitions (UOPs). You can use it to get a free DVD before you burn the DVD folder.
