That sounds like Micron buying Seagate or Seagate buying Micron.
Seagate is double the market cap of Micron so it would be a big deal if it happened.
Being that Crucial is selling both Seagate and WD drives, I highly doubt that there is a Seagate/Micron merger underway.
Merging of hard drive companies was bad enough, but combining them with flash memory companies is a bad idea.. many solid state memory companies have a history of huge price spikes that make the hard drive floods in thailand look like an arugment over penny candy going up 2 cents in 2012's dollars.
It was a joke. Micron couldn't even buy Hynix when it was undervalued. Seagate is overvalued.
