I have read that the new Nero software can add crossfades to your burned compilation tracks and also normalizes the amplitude between tracks that may be louder than others.
Both of these features appeal to me because I like to make compilations for parties where A) there are smooth transitions between tracks and B) all tracks are at more or less the same volume.
I've searched some forums because I'm trying to see if there's any other software that does this. Before I throw down $70 for Nero, is there a better program which does it with as much convenience as Nero? I'm not interested in throwing my tracks into a wave editor to reduce amplitudes and add crossfades. I want a program that does it all in one easy step, like Nero claims to do.
Any help on this?
