I guess it’s too much effort to switch to a more secure web browser. Running said browser in a sand-boxed environment is also too difficult, especially since Windows and many anti-malware programs are already capable of doing so. I guess crippling the hell out of your browser, making many sites and all plugins unusable, just in case one website is used to spread malware, is as simple as it gets.

Personally, I would recommend using other browsers in a sandbox if security is a goal.
