Crappy CD drive

Hey, i didnt know where else to go, but… Would a crappy burning drive result in a loss of quality in data? like a digital generation? thanks

Welcome to the forum

The only thing that a crappy burner can cause is data loss, not data corruption. The burner simply write on the disc the same data contained on the sourcefile, so no loss of quality.

If the burner writes poorly or the disc have a bad quality, then you can loose some data because the disc can be unreadable, but the content of files is not changed in any way.

Do this answer to your question?

Yes. Thank you!
