I am sorry for the post, but I thought it would be the best way to get people to read the couple of solutions I found that conflicts with Plextor Pro Tools
First If you remember I had trouble with Plextor Pro Tools and the Write Transfer Rate Test, and getting an error: Error Sending Cuesheet.
Well after days of looking thru everything, and Plextor not being much of help, I pulled out the trusty tracking tools I used for other purposes and tracked what Plex was really doing, and I finally found the problem. Anyone who had EZCD 6.0 and possibly prior versions (not 100% sure) do not install Direct CD or the feature of 6.0 Drag to Disc, these modules seem to conflict with Plextor Pro Tools, which cause the program not work with this test.
Second, even though this applies to thew Plex tools, it also applies to other recording software, especially nero and the CD speed test when being done on Plextor drives.
As most of you know that the Alcohol Virtual CDrom affects CDSpeed and not being able to do Overburning tests, and also as most of you are aware that it also inhibits looking at the amount GigRec can do on different Size CDRs, but if you disable the Virtual Rom then everything works properly. Well there is a solution I stumbled onto by accident and so far with no ill effects, what you can do is change the Virtual CDRom or a normal CDRom, how I did this is by going into the SCSI portion in the device manager and removing the SCSI entry that alcohol puts there, reboot the machine, and then manually add the hardware back as the alcohol driver, after this the system will detect a "CDRom" do not change the name, leave it saying "CDRom" this way all the programs will not be effected by the virtual rom. And as far as I can see it doesnt effect Alcohol's Ability to Burn CD's nor Make Images of Copy Protected CD's, and it doesnt effect the contect menu of right clicking an image and mounting it to the virtual rom either.
Maybe useless info, but I thought I would share the findings to some that maybe scratching there heads, or especially the Alcohol Issue that we all have gone thru.
