Correct hardware?

I have been thinking of buying a dvd-rw to add to my pc to copy some sentimental recordings that are already on tape format , but also to copy some dvd movies (for personal home use) that i have stocked up and are in danger of damage from the kids , what kind of dvd-rw should i be looking to, go easy on me please as i am new to this pc game.

  • Nero Burning ROM 5. Version 6 just came out, but 5 is more mature. Your choice. Nero will be used for both data and movie backup. (DVD-ROM (ISO) for data, DVD-Video for DVD backup).

Oops… Was thinking about PowerDVD 5.

Edit: Hold on a sec Airhead. I actually read Nero 6 Ultra is available at Fry’s or CompUSA already. Either they forgot to read the don’t open 'til such and such day lable on the carton, or they don’t care. If you’re in the US, check your local Fry’s or CompUSA.
