Is there gonna ever be a fix in regards to proper path:
I emailed VSO Support (Ken) and they told me my email would be forwarded to the developer. Here is a copy of what my email message said:
Right clicking on a FOLDER ONLY and sending to CopyToDVD ends up sending the CONTENTS of that folder to the root of the CD, dropping the path.
This is incorrect path handling.
BUT if you right click and send a FOLDER ONLY to the DEPOT, the folder is placed on the CD root in the compilation as you would expect.
This to me is the correct way to handle the path.
The ODD thing is if you Right click on a Folder AND a file currently
selected in the same directory (for example, in C:\Downloads there is a subfolder STUFF and a file THISFILE.EXE) the structure of the folder (STUFF) will be kept intact on the CD root.
Preserving path option does not apply here as I do not wish to preserve path structure all the way to the root of the Harddrive.
Is this ever gonna be resolved?? As this issue was mentioned a few versions back.
