Why does it take so long to copy a dvd movie to the hard drive using Anydvd? I mean it just drags on. What can I do to make it copy faster?

Hi,

the read speed basically depends on your optical drive. Many drives are speed limited for DVD video by the manufacturers.

You may please provide some details about your optical drive and the reaad times you have at the moment.

I’m new at this. Where can I find the details of the of the optical drive and the read times? Thank you for your reply.

I looked in the manual and it says the read/write speed for a BD-RE (SL/DL) is Write(2x/2x) and Read (8x/6x max). What does SL and DL mean? Thank you for your reply.

SL == Single Layer
DL == Dual/Double Layer
