I have been copying dvds on fab6 for some time using dvd-r. now I am receiving a message that I need a double layer dvd to copy. What has happened

Hi and Welcome!

seems as if the source material is too large to fit onto a single layer disc. With the paid version, you can shrink the copy so it will fit, but you will have to sacrifice some quality.

Michael
P.S.: I’ll move this to the DVD Fab forum section since it fits there much better.

Hi proveex111 and welcome to MyCE. :flower:

Make sure that the ‘Quality’ setting is set to DVD-5 and not DVD-9.

@ proveex111

When you open DVDFab and have a DVD in the drive that you want to copy look at the bottom next to the word “Quality”, if it shows DVD-9 in the drop down window you can go into common settings and set the default quality size to DVD-5 or DVD-9
