Now for the problem: I backed up my "Grandmas Boy" a few days ago with AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. It plays prefectly, works great and has no issues. I went to make a copy of the back-up today with Clone DVD2 and at 1%, I got "Video_TS/VTS_08_0.VOB:Read Error". Strange thing is it plays perfectly in the Preview Screen of Clone DVD2 (I have had this happen before with some of my back-ups, but never pursued it further. With this one I was determined to see what causes it.) I started AnyDVD (info posted above) and then tried to copy it again, got the same error message. I then tried to rip it to my HD with AnyDVD Ripper, but at 1% I got "Read Error! Ignore Read Errors, Yes or No?" I tried No and then went back and tried Yes, but it still woudn't go forward. I checked the disk and it was perfectly clean with no scratches or anything that would justify this error, and I mentioned, this has happened several times before with other copies, I just never tried to figure it out. At this point, I could only think of one more option and that was try copying it with Nero Burning Rom 7 Ultra Edition. It failed also at 1%.
So that is my problem and I am at a loss. I know I can just back-up my original again, but I would really like to figure this out. Is it that copies are too weak to be copied again, or is it something I am failing to do correctly? I have been using both AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 for a little over a year now. If this topic has previously been discussed, I am sorry for the repost, as I have worn the search button out reading for some answers.
Note- This isn't isolated to the current title. I have had at least 10 or 12 other titles that did this to me in the past when attempting to copy a back-up.
Thanks for listening!
