I’ve been reading the forums, and I was wondering if it is possible for me to make a working copy of a Securom 5 CD… here’s the catch: not from the original CD.
So a year ago I tried to make a copy of a disc with a regular burn/copy program (Sonic i think?). Anyway, it copied fine, but when I got home and tried it I discovered that my computer could tell that it was not the original disk. I realized then that there must be some copy protection, but I no longer had access to the original CD, so I kept my non-working copy in case I could do something about it later.
So my question is:
Can I make a working copy from this non-original disk? I have the instructions from the thread “Copying Securom 4.8x/5.x/7.x CDs with Alcohol and A-Ray Scanner”. This should work if I were to have the original disk. Anyone have any idea if it will work with my copied disk???
I’ll try it when I get back home anyway, but I was just hoping someone might have some input.
Thanks for your help!
