Copy file to DVD- plse help

vbimport

#1

I have ripped the entire DVD file using anydvd (7.4G) in size. I know I can reduce the file size to a single layer disc.

My question is, how do I cut all the necessary bits ie only main movie? I do not want to compress the file. What software I should use

I have anydvd and imgburn. I know imgburn can let me copy to disc but I need to cut the file size first without any compression

Sorry- still trying to learn.

Welcome to the forum

There are many softwares to do this. One of the best (and free) is DVD Shrink. An alternative (not free) is CloneDVD. Another (again not free) is DVDFab Platinum.

Thanks for the help- tried the dvdshrink- it works like a charm

So now I have

  1. anydvd- to copy my original dvd to harddisk (no compression)
  2. dvdshrink- to compress or reauthor to reduce the file size so that I can copy to a single layer DVD is necessary
  3. imgburn- can change to iso file if needed, and can copy to dvd if needed

what software do u use for doing a virtual drive? Is it deamon tool?

Daemon Tools FTW!

It is not necessary to use a virtual drive to play ISO files. VLC player is able to read ISO files flawlessly
