Copied DVD Problems - skipping forward during play

]I copied a DVD using Clone (compress whole disc) and then burnt it to a DVD-R.

Everything went fine, but when I tried to watch the copy on a DVD player, the picture skips every 4 or 5 seconds for the whole disc.

The second try, I copied the movie only and it still skipped. However, it was quite confusing what parts to leave out and what chapters were the actual movie

The third time I copied it to two discs and it was fine.

How can I copy a movie onto one disc and not have the problem of the picture skipping??? Copying a movie to two discs and having to change discs in the middle of a movie is quite annoying.

I am a bit of a novice at this and would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks.

To avoid and confusion provide the Name and Version Number of the software you are using to make your DVD backup copies.

It has been discussed numerous times in both the CloneDVD and AnyDVD Forums that Skipping, Freezing or similar Playback Viewing problems is usually caused by the use of poor quality blank DVD Media and/or old out of date obsolete DVD Burner Firmware or a combination of both.

Use a utility software program similar to DVD Identifier (http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com) or DVDInfo (http://www.dvdinfopro.com) and provide the MID (Manufacture ID and Media Code) of your blank DVD Media and the Manufacture/Model/Firmware of your DVD Burner and Forum Members will review and be able to provide advise.
