ConvertXtoDVD doesnt work...ever

So… I bought this nice little program and heard mixed reviews… basically I heard WINavi beats the crap out of it, but then i heard winavi just has support for menu’s (animated I might add…) in beta form. Ok So I got this Convertxtodvd no and It doesnt work. I burnt an AVI file that is Xvid format. Works on my pc but not in any dvd player. Even went to our local Best buy and tried it in every dvd player there, EVEN DENON! Doesn’t work. wasted about 4 dvd’s. here’s the log file.

enjoy…

Welcome to CDF.

I never burn with CXD personally but maybe you should switch the write mode to “Prefer SAO burning mode for DVD-R”. That’s in settings/burning.

It’s not the burning that is a problem, I have burnt it with Nero too.

You got errors when trying to play that DVD, errors like “no disc”, “Playback prohibited” etc.?

You converted to PAL and you live in US - you need to force conversion to NTSC.
Most NTSC players can not handle PAL DVDs, but PAL players can handle NTSC.

Hey,

5/12/2007 12:31:05 AM info PAL 25 FPS output format set automatically

As JJ said above, you have created a PAL DVD which will probably won’t work on most NTSC you tested :stuck_out_tongue:

In the settings, force it to what you need, probably NTSC.

And yes, ConvertXtoDVD Rocks

v3.00, to come in 2007 sometimes will also include a new Enhanced Menu Maker.

Batch files would be cool too with v3.00

Hi there,

http://forums.vso-software.fr/convertxtodvd-command-line-remote-control-for-batch-ftopic-49.html

You can batch all you want with the current version

Okay now I completely understand but I figured I’d take a shot if you give me your license key it may be used more than once so can somebody please help me out and fish me a working one i’ve been working all night.

Hi,

Send me your Visa Card #, and the expiration date, and I will gladly have VSO send you a valid purchased key

…who wnats to do command line batching… win avi still kicks the crap out of ConvertXtoDvd in speed and Batching files. Get with the program!
