Earlier today, I downloaded MediaCoder 0.3.7 with the intent of using it to convert a WMV file to an MPEG file. My son is in a rock band and a radio station some 2700 miles away did a video interview using the .WMV format and I wanted to convert it to an MPEG file. The video is actually of the band doing an accoustic version of one of their songs. For some reason, I can’t seem to get the software to convert the file. It keeps spitting out a file with 0 bytes in it. The software didn’t appear to come with any instructions, although, one of the software tools under “Action” is “Show Transcoding Wizard”. Unfortunately, when I try to use the Transcoding Wizard, I get an Error Message that says: “Action Cancelled Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web Page you selected. The page might be temporarily unavailable.” Arghh!!!
My request is simple. If any of you have used or are using this software, do you have any idea where I can download operating instructions? Failing this, would someone be kind enough to advise me how to convert this WMV file into an MPEG file, using this software. Thanks for all and any advice and help.
