Hi, I have a question, and an answer would be very
I have an .img file that is in PAL-format. I would like to burn it onto a disc to that it is playable in my (US) DVD player.
Does some one have a possible solution?
This will not work without conversion!
As chef indicates, most United States' DVD players will not support PAL playback. If you tell us what the make and model number is, then it may be possible to confirm, but otherwise the PAL encoding will need to be re-encoded to NTSC.
There is a guide in my sig on how to convert NTSC to PAL and PAL to NTSC.
Hey I read and printed out your guide but the instructions are quite dis-organized. So, from what I understand I need to convert my DVD? Can someone possibly give me simple step-by-step instructions in order to do this?
Use DvD Shrink with RipIt4Me or AnyDvD make your adjustments and save your output to HD. Import it into Nero Vision 4.
Here is a guide on how to use Nero Vision 4
Do I have to use Nero after saving output to dvd?
No, you are saving the output to the HD and not the DVD. Then use Nero Vision 4 to open up that image and convert it.
You could just try burning the .img without doing any conversion. Lots of DVD players in the US will play them, especially the cheaper ones.
