Converting 40125S to External USB 2.0

I've successfully flashed my Litey to the 48 f/w. But now I want to convert it to an external drive with a USB 2.0 kit so that I can use it at work, too and also on my wife's laptop for backups.

Does anyone know if I will lose any performance if it is used as an external USB 2.0 device? Will it lose its Mt. Rainier capabilities? I think that USB 2.0 spec is faster than Firewire that's why I chose it.

Thanks for any input.

I don’t think you will loose any functionality by having the drive in a USB 2.0 case…
