Hi, You can't do this with a hp7200+ But it is a nice trick it also works with a Plexwriter 8x After flashing and a newfirmware it burns at 10x! This only doesn't workz with the 8/20
can i do that with my sony crx140e
I guess there is no way of modifying my yamaha crw2100s at a 20x write huh?
Sorcerer: How do you upgrade a Plex 8x burner. What firmware - the same as for the HP (sony firmware) ? Sounds strange to me. What Plextors support this (8432?). Thanx
Dit is mooi, die 9100. I shall try the 9100 by myself, to upgrade to 9300, if it works, i will tell it first on www.cdfreaks.com! :8
Hello, I upgrade my hp9100 to an 9300 and my 8x is now 10x! It works great, I just tested it. So if you have an 9100 try it out! And has someone a firmwareupdate for the hp9500? :9
Great! Did someone know a similar trick for the traxtada CDR series? Tnx!
Hey every body ! what is the difference between burner with burn-proof and no burn-proof ? hard-ware or software (firmware) any body try to transform a no burn-proof in an excellent burn-proof :4 ?
Well what about the HP 8100 or the PlexWriter 12/10/32 IDE? How about if the knowledgeable post a list of their succesful firmware upgrades? TIA from Canada :4
Holy shit, I can get a better burner without buying one! Thats great! Anyone have luck upgrading from HP 9100 -> 9500? This is great news! So someone has been able to go ahead and flash the HP9100 to 9300.. PLease post more for us Sony and HP owners.. And get the 9500 firmware! :g
Well Hypnosis4U2NV, I have got a 9110 'transformed' to 9300, but a 9500 firmware is NOT avaible for download, so IF anyone has this firmware, please send it to me: firstname.lastname@example.org. THX
I believe it works with any burner in the world. What are firmware's in fact? What do they do? The manufacturers want to keep us dumb, and we will be bying another burner. As you see it can with some brains and no money. Thanks for the story.
When I run the HP installer, it says you need the programs from CD1 installed. This is the cd that came with the drive. I use Adaptec instead. What I need is the 9300_10c.bin file. Anybody know where to get just this file? Thanks for the great tip and your help. Ken
hello, i dont have the disk 1 cause i lose it can someone post or email the 9300_10c.bin file to me please. email@example.com thanks a lot !!!!
Does anyone know for sure if this will work with Plexwriter 8/20 in any way? :g
This would be great if it worked with the HP8250i based on the Phillips CDD4201. From what I have read, most people do not have the one based on the Sony model. The Phillips based model cannot be flashed with this method. Don't even try it, you will just get an error.
Does anybody know where I can find the 93xx bin file? And Ken your right I get the same message about CD 1. How can we bypass this question? Thanks anyone
Can I do this on a Plextor 8x4/32?
