Hi Zartt.. I've used an ADS PYRO AV/Link for years, even back on my old 2.8ghz P4 pc.. It worked flawlessly.. But if you read the documentation for the unit, it states that for capturing, that they recommend that you have two separate HD's (not partitions), but actual HD's. One HD should have only software (including the OS), and the other HD should be for data (ie: capturing, encoding, etc)... You should always have a minimum of 100mb free space on that HD. I have used my ads on multiple pc's, with various capture softwares, and I've never had a problem. But I've always had multiple HD's with plenty of free space, I've kept the HD's defragged, and I don't have a lot of unnecessary programs running on them. I have never gone as far as shutting of my AntiVirus software for capturing or encoding, but some folks have reported having to do so to get successful captures..
