When are we getting this in consumer equipment, such as commonly available DVD readers and writers? We’ve been able to measure C2 error rate on CDROM for quite some time thanks to CDSpeed now included as a Nero tool. DVD file verification is flying blind and all I can see is specialty equipment for PI error testing.
The Pioneer DVR-A03 can measure PI sum 8 and PIFs (some special equipment for these tests are based on that drive), but Pioneer is not giving out the information to build such software.
Someone will have to “leak” it the same way as WSES
