Constant Flickering on DVD

I’ve tried backing up a few DVDs of mine that I had purchased. The problem is when I insert the backup in my DVD player (pioneer DV-333), the picture is in greyscale only and it flickers constantly with sound. I dont know if it’s my blank media, software, burn method, dvd player, or what.

What do you guys think?

What r u using to backup and burn your purchased DVD’s? what media are you using?

hi tonee

here is the info on the DVD (I know it’s not great but it’s worked well in the past)

Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:ProdiscF02]

Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Prodisc Technology Inc.]
Manufacturer ID : [ProdiscF02]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]

[ DVD Identifier V5.0.1 - ]

I used DVD shrink to rip the files from DVD, I’ve tried burning with DVD shrink, Nero, and DVDfab with no luck.

Can you post a burn log? can you watch movie on pc? try Diff. media, like verbatims…
Does shrink finish? does DVDFab finish? try IMGBurn instead of Nero…

I have this same problem only thing different is I can hear sound on the DVD. I used DVD nero and alcohol and both burns do the same thing.

I have a Panasonic DVDS25 and I am located in USA.

Is this Pioneer stand alone? If yes, does the burnt DVD do the same flickering in your PC DVD player? what software program are you using?, do use brand name media?, are you using DL disc or SL disc?.

It really sounds like PAL vs. NTSC.
