Computer freezes when inserting a blank dvd - 7170A

Hi all.

I’m new around here and I have a big problem.
my drive (Optiarc ad-7170a) didn’t burn well
for example, two months ago I bought 25 pack of blank discs … some of them where ok and some of them where not readable (it recognized it as a blank disc).
Because my burner is under warranty I replaced it with a new 7170a.

Now I can read my old burnings from the 25 pack but … when I’m inserting a blank disc from this 25 pack my computer freezes !!!
(firmware version was 1.04 when I took it from the store)

I tried update it to with:
dee’s ad-7170a 1.04 modified,
liggy’s ad-7170a 1.04 bitsetting &
dees ad-7170a 1.M1.

With all new firmwares my computer don’t freeze when I’m inserting a blank discs but it scans the disc for about 30 seconds.
It freezes when I’m right click on my drive or when opening Nero.
I can actually can open Nero, open a new project and adding files to it without a disc in the drive…
But when it’s the time to insert a disc, I need to wait 30 seconds and the when I’m clicking “Burn” it say after 1 minute that I need to insert a blank disc and the entered disc is not writable.

The weird thing is that all discs came from the same pack …

any ideas ?

By the way,
can I try Sony AW-G170A firmwares ?

I run DVD Identifier with the disc in it … here are the result …

what is this mean ?

one more thing …

i copied the “media code - block” by using "DVD Identifier"
and with “media code speed edit” i edit the media code for "MCC 03RG20"
on “liggy 1.04 modified firmware” and I created new firmware for my dvd.

i update my burner with my new modified firmware (that was very intense moment) but it doesn’t work either !!!

after I found out my media code i saw that there are many posts regarding “MCC 03RG20” and AD7170A …

is there any firmware that can fix this compatibilities problems ?

Liggy ???
Dee ???
someone ???
