I may have beaten you to it. I flashed to GS0C, and sure enough I can now burn, erase, and reburn on these Infodisk +RW disks. Unfortunately, my DVD player stutters on trying to load them, so I'm thinking I'l just return them. The whole purpose for me was to get erasable disks that would play in my home machine. I tried -RW, both with and without the bitsetting utility, and my Panny player just does a NO DISK on these. The +RW, OTOH, will start to read, but then hang. It's like the machine knows it's a DVD Video, but hangs up trying to read it. I'm wondering if this kind of problem can be overcome with a higher quality disk.
Thanks for the GS0C +rw feedback, its good to know it was only a FW change to be able to use those disks.
As far as playback of the Memorex 2.4 DVD+RW media, may I suggest a different player , I use el cheapo made in China Apex DVD players (under $80 when I purchased them 2 years ago) and it players all media types so far. I also have an AMW DVD player that is even better at playing low quality media (Princo comes to mind) and that was a mere $38 out the door. And this one even plays MPEG ISO's too boot. I suspect your player just doesn't like DVD+RW media at all.
