Compare Image Quality w/White & Shiny Discs

I am nearing the end of my 50-disc cake box of Verbatim 94971 White 8x DVD-R and I was thinking about trying the shiny silver media. I've only been shopping at Supermediastore and they have a few Taiyo Yuden silver printable discs but I really don't need a 100-count cake box. They have a Prodisc Spin-X Silver that is 11 cents per disc cheaper than the Verbatim 94971 white but I don't know anything about Prodisc quality.

I'm thinking about trying the Verbatim DataLifePlus 95186 silver (35 cents each at Meritline). I'd really like to see the same image printed on both a white and silver disc to see if there are dramatic differences.

There is noticeable difference between the White and Silver.
The white comes out a lot sharper than the silver, the silver sometimes looks like a darker more shadow look.

No photos will help you, you have to try it. Suffice it to say that white and silver are not interchangeable, you want to have both. Silver is best for simple graphics and text, white for images.
