Don’t mind most of those, in fact I am rooting for USC this year to go all the way (if for no other reason than to stick it to the SEC). Although not a big fan of San Jose State and their devout fans (delusional nutjobs). Glad to see an out of state BSU fan though.
I agree that it was sad that Boise just really couldn’t get anything going offensively, when they had the potential to do better. That said they did keep it competitive and the Boise State defense was impressive forcing fumbles and making interceptions and for once our field goal kickers were bang on target each time. To be fair though Boise lost so much talent that it had to be expected. You don’t lose a Heisman candidate QB, your best running back, one of the best receivers, etc. and expect not to have to spend some time rebuilding. Boise returned the fewest number of starters of ANY FBS program out there.
Added to that they had several players who sat out who have been play makers for them in the past (ie Dallas Boroughs, Ajayi, etc.). Had to do with some off-field issues.
Needless to say it’s going to be an interesting season. Either Boise State will figure out how to get a decent offense going and recover (ie TCU last season), or they will be in serious trouble.
