I have a need for an application that read the media ATIP information, to get hold of dye-type, manufacturer etc. Is there such an application available? Preferably command-line or a GUI app that can be set to export so that the data can be imported into another application.
CDRECORD can do it, though the output is a little cluttered
C:\Program Files\cdrtools>cdrecord -dev 1,1,0 -atip

hmm… seems like there’s no compiled version available for win32?
Very bad homepage and overcomplex documentation
Anyhow, precompiled win32 versions available here:
cdrecord -help is the only working cmd-line for .exe help.
This aplpication cannot use windows internal ASPI-replacement, so it seems you have to have a third-party ASPI driver installed, like Adaptec’s ASPI or similar
Any suggestions on other applications?
