The Verbatim I burnt on an Asus BW-12D1S-U 1.20.
It was not the Plextor.
The Plextor I used for burn #2.
It was a very bad but scan - see attached pic.

A missing pic?
The reason is that i wrote the post while doing the scan.
PDC ‘froze’ at 80.7% and when I resized it more than half of the data disapperead from the graph.

But see yourself:

burn #03 (excluding 2 times full erasing of the disc)

I erased the disc and tried to burn again. Not very pleasant with the results :frowning:
Changing the reading speed to 2x did not give much better results (about 20% lower values).
For the second and third try i burnt only 15.7 GB of data (thats why you can see at the BIS graph some green after the 16gb marker)

It looks so whether the CMC discs are not that bad as it looked in the last posts. Only the Plextor does not like them at all.
I burnt the 15.7gb again with the Asus and this burner is fitting much better.

Sony BWU-500S (fw 1.66) burned at 2x

Sold as: Verbatim 2x BD-RE Hard Coat SERL (10pk Spindle)
MID: CMCMAGCN2
Hub code: Unable to read (heat stamped)
Stamper code: NONE
Made in Taiwan

Not happy that they didn’t have a Verbatim MID, especially as the label says SERL (apart from DVD-RAM, I can’t remember ever seeing Verbatim rewritable CDs or DVDs with someone else’s ATIP/MID). And a bit concerned when I couldn’t see a stamper code (looked carefully and there doesn’t seem to be one). But they look pretty good so far.

Same disc written 3 times. Full erase after the first write, then a quick erase after the second.

Verbatim BD RE 2x / CMCMAGCN2

Burnt with Pioneer BDR-209EBK @ 2x

Verbatim BD RE 2x / CMCMAGCN2

Burnt with LiteOn iHBS112 @ 2x

@ thx at EZ647

I always wanted to know whats inside a Emtec BD-RE.
I was thinking again Ritek BW1 thats why i never buy them. I have already Imation and Maxell with Ritek BW1 Code.

I already destroyed one of these Philips Media because my Renesaschipset Burner LG Bh10LS30 have only an 2,3X burnspeed instead of 2,0x for that… and some other Ids…

Media: Philips with Label BD-RE 2x
Burner: First time on the Media with Pioneer BD-RW S-08 XLT @ 2x.
Software: As always some Kind of Nero Full version, in this time 2012 or 2015

If you burn a 2x RE with 2.3x it gets destroyed?

Burn again with 2x won’t help then?

It was totally destroyed… no burner can recognized it again for a erase operation. But my bad Imation Ritek Bw1 can be burned at 2,3x with the LG… but the pictures was funny red and violet…in nero cd/dvd speed.

Ok thx
