The above descriptors are from my 811S LiteOn.
The LiteOn firmware is speed-modded, I don’t believe it actually supports this specific media, the NEC 2500A does support it at 8x.

They are also on… (8X +R) The media code of those is: CMC MAG E01 They are made by Potex and come with that as the Media ID…

The Prices for those are: 25 for $42, or 50 or $82… Those are in Canadian currency…

Highly recommended media for the NEC 2500A drive.


At my local store they are selling the CMC MAG E01 as platinum 8x dvd+r.
I was wondering if anyone tested these on a plextor px708a and could post his/her thought because im out of dvd+r’s and i want to order some tomorrow.
And is there much diffrence between the brands selling dvd+r’s with this media code?
