Closed Captioned, strips away with recoding :(

Ok, I need to compress a DVD that has no subtitles but CC (closed captioned titles). Everytime I do a compression to fit the DVD to 4.7GB, the CC gets somehow ripped and I got no titles at all which we REALLY need.

I tired Shrink 3.5, Nero, same. Is there any software that preserves the closed captioned titles when you recode it to a smaller size?

I am not looking to split the DVD in two 'cause it would be most inconvinient for me to change DVDs in the middle of presentation.

nero’s recode is made by the creator of dvdshrink, so they’re practically the same application, and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise that they’re both having the same problem. try using one of the other transcoders.
