Nero Express 6.1.3.25
I saved all my downloads to a DVD and thought I had closed the session.
It now seems that was not the case as the DVD is not recognised, but Nero knows there is a session on it and 1 track of 2443Mb.
Anyone know how to force a close of session now?, I’ve tried to add one file and burn, but no success, Nero then does not recognise there is a disk in the drive.

Tried the DVD in my laptop (plain DVD reader) and is recognised fine. Strange.
Whilst I can now get the files off, I’d still like to know the answer to my question, if anyone has any answers.
O/S is W2k on errant drive PC. XPH on laptop.

To close the disc, you can either add a small file to it and close it after that buring session or (IIRC) you can close a disc without actually burning anything.
If Nero does not recognise that there is a disc in the drive there is something wrong with the disc or drive…it has nothing to do with not closing the disc at all (otherwise it would not be possible to burn multisession discs 
).
I tried again taking great care to make sure the session was closed and that dvd worked fine. Next to try a multi session version.

I think that my writer recognises my DVD-R as DVD+R… how to close session?
Update Nero or use Imgburn.
Did. Same thing.
In Windows XP, put the disk you want to finalize into the CDROM drive. Open My Computer and right click on the CDROM drive. Click Properties and click on the tab - Recording. Uncheck “Enable CD recording on this drive”. This should finalize the disk.
