CloneDVD2 causes re-boot

Hello,

I have a problem with CloneDVD 2.8.5.1. When I try to copy a movie, halfway through the writing process, it causes my system to reboot. Anyone else have or has had a similar problem?

I also have VSO’s Copy to DVD and never experience this problem with that softeware.

Could it be a nVidia firewall issue? (It is a motherboard feature) I use it with Zone Alarm Anti-Virus.

My system details are as follows: (WinXP Pro installed) 1gig of ram on an Asus A8N Sli Premium m/b, AMD 4400+ (dual core) CPU, Pioneer A10XL and LG GSA4163 DVD burners, 1 X WD 250gig SATA2 (Data), 1 X WD SATA Rapter 36gig (Sysytem drive) and I X Seagate 160 gig SATA (for data also).

Thanks

does it reboot ONLY with clonedvd? will it reboot when burning with any other program? will it reboot when doing other resource intensive activities?

you’ve got quite the system there so I’m sure you’ve made sure you have an adequate power supply and adequate cooling inside. Double check to make sure your fans are working properly.

any error messages along with the reboot? what does it say in the event viewer?

It does not reboot when using “Copy to DVD” nor Nero 6. Temps are ok too - around 44C under moderate stress. This is the message in the event viewer:

I may have to give CloneDVD a miss and stick with Copy to DVD.
