CloneCD - CCD File

Hey, I’m trying to burn a really old game I used to have, and I used CloneCD to back it up a few years ago. The thing is, somewhere over the years, the .CCD file got deleted/lost/whatever. So for now, all I have is the .SUB and .IMG file. (The original CD is damaged beyond repair.)

Is there any way to either create a new CCD file, or intertwine the IMG and SUB data so I can burn it with a different program?

(Yes, I am aware that CloneCD uses 2352+96 bytes per sector, which is different from all other image-burning programs. Hence, the difficulty in this scenario.)

What exactly is it that you’re trying to copy? What copy protection, if any, is used on the original cd?

No worries. Here’s the way :

  1. Downolad and install UltraISO 6.56

  2. Start UltraISO > Tools > Convert ,

load your ‘Original CD’ IMG file, choose a different ‘Output Directory’,
check ‘CloneCD’ format and click ‘Convert’ ( as shown below ) :

  1. Voila ! You’ve now got your ‘Original CD’ .CCD/SUB/IMG files again.
The new .CCD file is the same as the deleted/lost/whatever one.

  2. Run CloneCD > Write from IMG file >
select the newly made ‘Original CD’.CCD file and start burning :

That is basically it !
