Orange Book part II Vol2 v1.1 published

Harrie used our newssubmit to tell us that Philips has published the specifications of 32x CD-R called: Orange Book part II Vol2 v1.1.

The PDF file shows that 32 speed writers should be available at the end of 2001 and the start of 2002. 40 Speed burners between the second and third quarter of 2002.

Philips will also introduce a area to test the media before burning (Power calibration) but this is optional for drive manufacturers.
