Take these.

This is crap.

Disc Manufacturer: Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals, Inc
Good media, but some writers refuse to write them properly (e.g. plextor 40x)

I’d say go for Mitsui, but they’re much more expensive than the Taiyo’s, which are great for the price. Fujifilm at Best Buy (look for the screw-on spindle cap) are Taiyo and have a rebate right now I think.

Unbranded Black CD-R (the woman that sold them to me said they were PSX but i doubt it; they look really nice though)

she means that they are better for making back-ups of PSX-games. It seems that the playstation reads better from black disks.

if you do not back-up playstation games…forget them because you pay for them beeing BLACK

question:
What kind of cdr do you like yourself…i assume you tried all of them

#6

No they do not work better in Playstations because they are black.

The exact same disc without the black layer would have worked just as good.

#7

mmm…they do??

glad i have no psx…because i would have bought them…

#8

I was thinking that maybe they were for the Japanese PSX or something. Either way though, they do look really nice but was unsure about them because CDRIdentifier wouldn’t give me the manufacturer name. Pretty much everything there is certified for 16x except the Taiyo Yudens and the Mitsui Toatsu (only one :(, I got it with my drive), which are certified for 24x. I can only really write at certified speed too, because I got the Yamaha 24/10 drive and it takes a shit when you write faster than the media can handle.
Also, does anyone know where I can find unbranded PS2 look-alike CD-Rs? The purple-blueish bottom just looks nice. Even if they are low quality the novelty factor is nice.
