Hello everybody, I have been a follower from the forum for long time ago and now I have decided to register.
About the DVD to DiVX guide:
I have followed your guide with very good results in the pass, in the days of the good ol' DiVX 3.11a. A lot of time has pass since then and your guides are now posted here. I was trying an encode from DVD to XVID using Vidomi and I have a pretty extrange problem that I never had before:
The image is crystal clear and beautiful, but ythe sound is terrible, it looks like if it is too loud because it got distorted. I don't know how much % normalization I was using with my DiVX 3.11a rips, but I am quite sure than in your old and first guide (in "another" cd board :)) the normalization was not advised in 100% as it is now in your guide here.
Have you change the value since you first made it public? I think it was something arroun 97 or 98%. Why do you use 100% noormalization now?
Can my problem be related to this? What can be a good value for the thing doesn't produce distortion if this is the problem? Or can it be another thing.
Thanks for the help here, and any other insight about this from other members would be greatly apreciated.
