I do not believe that this will be much of a concern, GPS only locates your position on the planet, it is not smart enough to know that you are inside a Dunkin’ Donuts or a mall or any other location. It would be up to cell phone carriers to come up with the program to figure out that at such and such coordinates, you are in a certain store. Alternatively, the third party people buying that info. would be the ones to create such software. In both cases, I believe the costs of generating such a piece of software would outweigh any benefits of additional sales that may happen. :X BTW, most localities are not E911 compatible, they took the money the Fed’s gave them to develop such a system and spent it on other expenses. :B

Wow… I must say it makes me feel a bit better about the world when something as trivial as this can cause an alarmist uproar.

Coroborate the latitude/longitude info with a detailed map of the region. Trust me, they would know. And you may have to think about the future, in 10 years or so authorithies might know where you’ve been all the time. What then?
