Cds 100 : why so rare?

I’ve just read your LiteOn 52x test : congratulations !

My question is : why do you think cds 200 is quite common while cds 100 isn’t ? There’s probably a compatibility issue.

Another thing : you noticed a low DAE with EAC secure mode. Something likely happens to me sometimes with EAC or Plextools : first track is extracted at 4x and following tracks at full speed. I don’t know why.

It also seems to me that LiteOn team is focusing on audio protections rather than data protections.

Protections like CDS100 or Key2audio decrease the user-experience of the cd because it cannot be played on a pc. CDS200 doesn’t has this problem, so I guess record companies prefer this type of protection.

A lot of drives still have trouble reading CDS200,freezing up your system…
:Z

It is impossible to make 100% compatible protected audio cds, because the protection is a deviation of the redbook cd standard.

Cactus 100 is the one I hate more
