CDRwin Won't Recognize Burner

Hello, I just got a new Sony Vaio with Windows XP Media Center Edition. It has a LG GCE 8523BS CD-RW writer as well as a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D burner. I installed the demo version of CDRwin 3.9e. When I try to use it, it gives me this error: “No supported CDROM recorder was found on the sytem!.” I am running the ASPI drivers that came with CDRwin. I also updated my ASPI drivers to the latest ones on the Adaptec page. I tried to burn something with Nero and it works fine. I do a lot of live audio trading and prefer using CDRwin for audio. Can anyone help me out? Thanks…

according to here your Pioneer should be supported, but knowing what Sony do to Viao’s with strange hardware setups it does not supprise me that something has gone amiss. Still all is not lost, if nero works then use that. I personally prefer that to make / rip audio disks then CDRWin.
