Does anyone here has some experience in creating multi-session DVD’s with mkisofs and cdrecord? I can’t get it to work.
First, i create an ISO using mkisofs 2.01a32 (i686-pc-cygwin)
C:\Aendeker\backup>mkisofs -J -L -R -o temp.iso c:\moment
mkisofs: The option ‘-L’ is reserved by POSIX.1-2001.
mkisofs: The option ‘-L’ means ‘follow all symbolic links’.
mkisofs: Mkisofs-2.01 will introduce POSIX semantics for ‘-L’.
mkisofs: Use -allow-leading-dots in future to get old mkisofs behavior.
Warning: creating filesystem that does not conform to ISO-9660.

Using 2003_02D.ZIP;1 for c:\moment/data/2003-09-09.zip (2003-09-08.zip)

Then, i want to write it with Cdrecord-ProDVD-Clone 2.01a23-2 (i686-pc-cygwin).
C:\Aendeker\backup>cdrecord -v -multi -data speed=2 dev=1,0,0 temp.iso

Last chance to quit, starting real write 0 seconds. Operation starts.
Waiting for reader process to fill input buffer … input buffer ready.

Average write speed 2.1x.
Min drive buffer fill was 100%
Fixating time: 2.003s
cdrecord: fifo had 5772 puts and 5772 gets.
cdrecord: fifo was 0 times empty and 5274 times full, min fill was 89%.
After that, i want to know where this track “ends” on the DVD. I need this information to burn a second session.
C:\Aendeker\backup>cdrecord -msinfo dev=1,0,0
This should not be possible! I should get something like 0,12639!
I also use cygwin1.dll DLL ver. 1.5.10-3. OS is Windows XP.
Does anyone knows what i am doing wrong? I would really create multi-session DVD’s on a command-line base!
