Cdfreaks presents Samsung SM-352B combo review

Well, here you go: Samsung SM-352B combo review

Feel free to comment this review as contstructive criticism is always good

“Drive gets worm to the touch…”

What kind of worms are we talking about here? Little green ones, or the computer virus type?

Hehe

When I open the tray, it’s full of green worms :stuck_out_tongue:

Nah, not really…it’s a bit hot to touch, if that clarifies it…yeah I know you’re only joking.

What’s your experience on regocnition of cd/dvd’s and their access times ?

I’ve noticed many combi drives take a while to start up your favourite dvd player and play a movie.

The samsung is a bit slow at recognizing, but seek times seems good.

The Lite-On LTC-48161H is good at both (a lot faster at recognizing etc than my LTD-165H DVD-ROM).

I was able to backup GTAIII with the sw-232b, using cloneCD. Was suprised to learn in the article that people have found it difficult to copy.

Do you mean GTA III? that one should not be a problem - it’s GTA: Vice City that’s hard to copy.
