Hallo, thankyou for review KIPPER, I am thinking about buying LG BH08 or Pioneer BDR-203. I want a good drive and fast burning time to replace my 2x LG bd burner, I am tired waiting 40 minutes writing BD-R and 90 mins BD-RDL.
But I am confuse with this review. Testing 8x BD-R Verbatim in 19m:13s and 6x BD-R TDK in 19m:03s.
Why 6x faster than 8x?
And more unsure, 6x BD-R DL TDK in 42m:35s is faster than 8x BD-R DL Sony in 42m:54s??
I compare to Pioneer BDR-203 review by Dee27, 8x BD-R burning speed is 14m:49s (vs 19m:13s BH08) and 8x BD-R DL burning = 32m:31s (vs 42m:35s BH08). Pioneer is 10 minute faster?!
When google search I see Zevia say OEM BH08NS20 can “8x BD-R 25GB write about 13 mins, 8x BD-R DL 50GB write in about 31 mins†http://club.cdfreaks.com/2206662-post6.html
What is OEM? I like LG because pass experience give me no trouble but somebody can tell me why BH08LS20 is slow for 8x blu-ray writing?
The write times you are referring to was reported when burning with ImgBurn. This is either due to the nature of the software or the configuration of the test system for this review.
You will find several reports and graphs for the BH08 which reflect considerably faster burns here at CDFreaks.
I hope this helps with your questions.
